Io non tremo
Questa è la prima volta che scrivo il titolo del post prima di mettermi a scrivere.
L'arte e in generale la musica sono degli importanti catalizzatori della verità, della storia, quella vera e la descrivono offrendo spunti di riflessione autentici. In questi giorni l'attentato a Parigi durante il concerto degli Eagles of Death Metal ha scosso e diviso le persone tra quelle che si sentono vicine a Parigi e altre che guardano più in là e si sentono coinvolti anche da tragedie che distano più km dalla loro casa, cosa giustissima e lecita.
Vi racconto una storia...
Qualche tempo fa parlavo con due amici che amano moltissimo Parigi e ho pensato di regalare un weekend in questa città a me e al mio compagno, così ho vagliato i concerti in città sino a dicembre e mi son soffermata su quello degli Eagles of Death Metal, che a dirla tutta non sono uno dei gruppi che ascolto di più ma sarebbero stati perfetti per una tre giorni fuori casa. Alla fine non s'è fatto nulla perché quando arriva il momento di prendere il biglietto aereo per Parigi, puntualmente, non acquisto o ne compro uno per l'Inghilterra, luogo in cui ho vissuto e che sento molto mio. Non c'è una ragione specifica per cui io non sia mai stata a Parigi, fatto sta che in quel concerto potevo esserci anche io. La cosa che sconvolge tante persone è proprio questa, alcuni amici che ascoltano gli EODM potevano essere lì quella sera, lo scenario era assolutamente calzante per il tipo di viaggi che io e gran parte delle mie conoscenze facciamo. Il concerto rock, unico sfizio per chi come me sbarca a stento il lunario, è uno di quegli svaghi ancora concessi, ogni tanto, insomma in quel teatro potevo esserci io o mio fratello. Era uno scenario vicino al mio stile di vita.
La morte è brutta ovunque accada, ma purtroppo le ragioni politiche sporcano il lutto e fanno sembrare quasi nulle le centinaia di morti avvenute dal'altra parte del mondo. Poi discutere dei morti come fossero pedine del Risiko fa davvero pena. Non to facendo questo. Io ho massimo rispetto per tutte le vittime della guerra, ovunque nel mondo.

Il primo pezzo, Imagine, lo conosciamo tutti, è un brano di John Lennon, estratto dall'omonimo album del 1971, racconta di come il mondo dovrebbe essere.

Il secondo, Wake Up è un potentissimo pezzo dei Rage Against The Machine in cui si parla di quelli che girano e rigirano, di quelli che giustificano. il brano è contenuto nell'omonimo disco del 1992.

Power to the People è un altro brano di Lennon sempre del 1971 ed è un'affermazione importante, seguita a importanti conquiste popolari contro la discriminazione razziale.

Talking about a Revolution è un pezzo del 1988 scritto dall'allora ventiquatrenne Tracy Chapman. Questo è un brano molto molto potente e la parola Revolution è quasi sussurrata. L'album tutto è uno dei migliori pezzi di cantautorato. Tracy descrive l'illusione del sogno americano e la realtà.
